DC = DEAD CLOWN +
DC called Kustom Kult in to explore a little nuttier approach to some of their shoe and apparel art. Working closely with the DC crew we were stoked to oblige and throw down a range of concepts for both men & women including a Dead Clown (DC- ar ar) Logo lockup and graphics system consisting of said clown, logotype and lettering, all in patterns plus a winged skull for a 3D heel deco (Note the "DC" as eyes.) Throngs of winged eyeballs flew down from the black haze- DC insignia in a death-clutch + a skullified hibiscus tropo theme bloomed + organic hand crafted patterns emerged that are made out of, yes look closely, the word, "Sick."

Hand Wrought As Kustom
All of the art and fonts created were hand drawn and most of the patterns were intentionally not tiled, but pieced together by hand within specified dimensions for a more random and unique effect when placed on the shoes. Super-stoked on the "Skele-grip" pattern especially for this non-repeating effect. We also generated color palettes for inspiration in both men & women in all patterns and graphics.
Many props to them thar folks @ DC for this outrageous opportunity.
